Silver going to the Moon?






Lunar meteorite NWA 4881
A Lunar Meteorite is a meteorite that is known to have originated on the Moon. Lunar origin is established by comparing the mineralogy, the chemical composition, and the isotopic composition between meteorites and samples from the Moon collected by the Apollo missions.

The NWA 4881 has been analyzed by the formalities of the Meteoritical Society, London and the Dept of Earth & Space Sciences from the University of Washington Seattle and is herewith approved as a Lunar meteorite.

  1. My sister bought a similar type of coin with moon meteorite encased within it... I think they are quiet gimmicky not for most collectors...

  2. Yes, not much of numismatic item. I bought it because of its fine detailed strike of the moon surface which I thought was kinda cool as its closely maps the actual moon terrain.
